Description
The National Forest Foundation is requesting proposals for wildfire-recovery and public-safety vegetation management services in Lincoln National Forest. The work includes felling and removing up to 448 marked hazard trees; gathering and removing up to 775 previously felled trees; removing four log decks from Oak Grove Campground; mechanical thinning; chainsaw felling; delimbing, bucking, skidding, decking, loading, and hauling logs to the Cora Dutton Wood Terminal; and chipping, grinding, or broadcasting slash and other woody material. The contractor must provide the labor, supervision, equipment, materials, safety controls, traffic controls, fire-prevention resources, environmental protections, and site rehabilitation necessary to perform the work. Task deadlines are February 28, 2027, for the Oak Grove Campground log decks, and May 31, 2027, for the tree-removal tasks. Proposals must include a technical approach, project management plan, detailed work plan and schedule, key personnel, qualifications and similar-project experience, three references, federal-exclusion affirmation, disclosures of failed projects and legal matters, pricing, and current insurance coverage. Payment and performance security may be required depending on contract value, subcontracting, material costs, and applicable funding requirements.
