Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quotation for the on-site replacement of a failed Lochinvar FTX500N boiler heat exchanger at the Southwestern Native Aquatic Resources and Recovery Center. The contractor must provide and install one OEM replacement heat exchanger, gasket replacement kit, burner refractory, safety flow switch, and condensate neutralizer rocks, along with all labor, specialized rigging equipment, tools, transportation, and freight. The work includes isolating and draining the boiler, removing and reinstalling associated mechanical, electrical, gas, and exhaust components, testing for water and gas leaks, commissioning the boiler, disposing of removed materials, and returning the failed heat exchanger core to Lochinvar for warranty evaluation. The contractor must provide commercial HVAC or specialized boiler-maintenance experience and submit service tickets, manufacturer warranty documentation, and proof of shipment for the returned core. Evaluation factors are technical approach, technical experience, past performance, and price. All work must be completed and operational by October 31, 2026.
