Description
The City of Gadsden is soliciting sealed construction proposals for the East Gadsden Community Pool Project, Bid Request No. 3616. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to complete the project. The work is federally funded and must comply with applicable federal requirements, including the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Davis-Bacon wage rates, and Title 49 minority-business provisions. Each bid must include a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bid bond equal to 5% of the amount bid, capped at $10,000. The awarded contractor must provide performance and payment bonds and evidence of required insurance before beginning work. The contractor must self-perform at least 30% of the total contract cost. MBE/DBE participation is encouraged, but no specific goals have been established.
