Description
The California Highway Patrol seeks a contractor to maintain the car wash equipment at its San Diego Area Office. Monthly work includes servicing the biological recycle system, checking and replacing filters and microbes as needed, supplying car wash soap and other required chemicals, cleaning the floor, and checking the system for proper function and safety. Pit pumping and cleaning are required semiannually. The bid form prices monthly maintenance for 36 months and semiannual maintenance for six service periods; the anticipated agreement term is April 1, 2027, through March 31, 2030. The solicitation is a lowest-cost, single-award IFB. A mandatory site walk-through is required, and bidders must submit a sealed paper bid package. Required qualifications include a business license and Department of Industrial Relations registration. The DVBE participation requirement is waived, though DVBE participation may qualify for an incentive. Liability insurance documentation is required before agreement execution, not with the bid.
