Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting a single-award, firm-fixed-price, brand-name Smith Machine & Tool portable aircraft bearing roll-swaging, cutting, proof-loading, installation, and removal tool kit for B-1B maintenance. The kit must support MS14101 and MS14103 spherical bearings in dash sizes -3 through -16 and include the specified adapters, tri-roller swaging tools, cutters, pilots, two independent digital load cells rated to 3,000 and 5,000 pounds, and a precision portable depth gauge. The complete system must be field-deployable for both hangar and flightline operations, packaged in approximately 8–10 Pelican cases with custom-cut foam inserts, and compatible with standard commercial manual drive systems. Primary mechanical tools, swage bodies, cutters, adapters, and load cells must be manufactured in the United States and comply with Buy American Act and applicable DFARS requirements. Load cells and the depth gauge require NIST-traceable calibration certificates valid for at least 12 months after government acceptance. No substitutions or equivalent products will be accepted; offerors must provide the exact part numbers on the Price Sheet and demonstrate authorized reseller status. Amendment 0001 updates the quote deadline and clarifies that FOB Destination shipping costs must be included in the CLIN price, the manufacturer's standard packaging is acceptable for shipment, and the stated limited warranty and repair terms apply.
