The U.S. Navy is soliciting quotations for cutter bits and tool holders classified under cutting tools for machine tools. The procurement requires compliance with applicable Individual Repair Part Ordering Data, drawings, technical data, standards, and military specifications, including specified document revisions and technical requirements. Suppliers must meet government inspection and quality-assurance requirements, maintain an acceptable inspection system, comply with applicable packaging and marking requirements, and review the material IRPOD. The IRPOD includes a hold point for inspection of tools before final grinding and cleaning, with at least seven days' advance notice requested before final grinding. Applicable vendor-certified test and inspection reports and pre-manufacturing procedure, drawing, and other technical submittals must be provided as specified in the IRPOD. Technical documents are subject to password-controlled access and restrictions on distribution to foreign nationals.
