Description
Metra is soliciting bids for diaphragm mounting frames and buffer assemblies for railroad equipment. The scope includes buffer side stem assemblies, mounting frames, bottom face plate assemblies, associated components, and CWI inspections for specified line items. Bidders must provide pricing for all listed items, lead times, and delivery to Metra; quantities are estimates and orders will be placed as needed. The work requires compliance with Metra drawings and welding requirements, including AWS-certified welders, applicable welding procedure documentation, CWI inspection reports, material and inspection documentation, and Buy America certification when the award exceeds $150,000. The contract term is five years, with an estimated total contract value not to exceed $3,000,000. The procurement is funded through FTA and IDOT funds and has no DBE contract goal.
