Description
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District is soliciting a contractor to repair erosion and undermining at the S-40 water control structure. The work includes maintenance of traffic, erosion and turbidity controls, site access and staging, survey control, debris removal, steel sheet pile installation, flowable-fill injection beneath the existing downstream apron, riprap installation, bank and canal slope stabilization, fence replacement, site restoration, and as-built documentation. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, surveying, diving support, temporary controls, permits, disposal, testing, and incidentals needed for a complete project. The project must be performed in wet conditions while maintaining continuous operation of the existing gates and canal flow. Requirements include waterway safety measures, licensed wildlife trappers supporting diving operations, a Florida general contractor license, specified traffic-control and erosion-control certifications, and applicable FDOT work-class qualifications or equivalent project experience. Bidders must submit at least three similar-project references completed within the past 10 years, including client contact information. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with an anticipated notice to proceed on November 23, 2026, substantial completion by March 23, 2027, and final completion by April 22, 2027.
