Description
The Texas Low Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact Commission is requesting proposals from CPA firms for an annual financial audit for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2026. The audit must be completed by April 30, 2027, in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America. Proposals must address the firm's governmental auditing experience, independence, staff continuity, client losses, proposed engagement personnel and biographies, experience with the Texas Uniform Statewide Accounting System and Texas Legislative Appropriation Request process, audit approach and technology, fee proposal with staff-level hours, client references, and the firm's qualifications. Respondents must also provide their most recent peer review report, related letter of comments, and response. The selected CPA firm will negotiate a four-corners contract incorporating applicable Texas statutory, accounting, records-retention, and contracting requirements.
