Description
The State of Connecticut, through its Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), is seeking bids for the fabrication and delivery of sixty-four (64) concrete panels. These panels are intended for the new boat launch at Squantz Cove Boat Launch in New Fairfield. The selected manufacturer will be responsible for supplying the concrete panels, which will be installed by a separate contractor. Each concrete panel must be 4 feet wide by 10 feet long by 8 inches thick, with a V-groove pattern surface as shown in the project plans. Each panel will also include two lifting inserts, and the selected bidder must provide compatible slotted setting plugs. All additional technical specifications are detailed in the project plans. The contractor will be responsible for providing shop drawings and submittals for DEEP approval prior to fabrication, fabricating the sixty-four panels according to specifications, and delivering the panels to the project site without damage or defect. Delivery will be to the upland area of the boat launch, with the specific location to be coordinated with the DEEP project manager. The panels are expected to be delivered within 150 days of purchase order issuance. A pre-shipment inspection at the manufacturing facility and a post-shipment inspection at the site are required.
