Description
The New York State Department of Health is soliciting applications for Round 8 of the Primary Care Service Corps Loan Repayment Program. The program provides loan-repayment awards to eligible dentists, dental hygienists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, clinical psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists, and licensed mental health counselors who practice in primary care or behavioral health at an active National Health Service Corps-approved site with a qualifying Health Professional Shortage Area score. Up to $504,990 is available. Award limits are up to $72,000 for full-time dentists, up to $56,000 for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurse midwives, and up to $36,000 for other eligible clinicians, subject to qualifying educational debt. Applicants must submit one email containing Attachments 1–5, 7–9 as applicable or mandatory items, including eligibility responses, program-specific questions, recent loan statements, consent to disclosure, an employer employment letter, site information, professional licenses, and a signed default penalty attestation. The award requires a three-year service commitment from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029.
