Description
The project involves constructing a nutrient-reduction wetland to treat water from an existing ditch. Work includes selective clearing, site preparation, approximately 19,861 cubic yards of earthwork, embankment and auxiliary spillway construction, drainage-tile investigation and removal, reinforced concrete pipe and HDPE pipe installation, pump basin and outlet structures, riprap placement, and approximately 2.4 acres of structure and buffer seeding. The wetland will use a solar-powered lift station with a 3-horsepower pump, solar panels, controller, float switches, wiring, and related discharge piping. The estimated construction cost is $175,000 to $275,000. All construction work other than seeding must be completed by September 1, 2027; buffer and structure seeding must be completed by December 15, 2027 within the applicable seeding periods. Bidders must submit the completed proposal and schedule of prices, notarized affidavit, addenda acknowledgment, and bid security documentation. A bid bond or other permitted bid security equal to 10% of the base bid is required, and the successful contractor must furnish a 100% performance/payment bond and required insurance after award.
