Description
The project involves constructing a nutrient-reduction wetland to treat water from an existing ditch using a solar-powered pump. Work includes selective clearing, site preparation, approximately 19,861 cubic yards of excavation and earthwork, embankment construction, drainage-tile investigation and removal, installation of approximately 835 linear feet of pipe, concrete pump and outlet structures, a solar pump system, riprap placement, and approximately 2.4 acres of seeding. The solar pump system includes solar panels, a solar drive, a three-horsepower axial pump, float switches, mounting hardware, wiring, and related controls. Bidders must submit unit-price bids through the Iowa Management of Procurement and Contracts System. The submission must include the required bid forms, addenda acknowledgment, affidavit, and bid security. A bid bond equal to 10% of the base bid is required; a certified or cashier's check may be used instead, subject to the stated delivery requirements. The successful bidder must furnish a performance/payment bond equal to 100% of the contract price and complete the work except seeding by September 1, 2027, with buffer and structure seeding due by December 15, 2027.
