Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting a quotation for five feet of normalized SAE AMS-S-6758B Revision B 4130 steel flat bar, measuring 0.750 inches thick by 2.500 inches wide and supplied in whole-foot lengths of 10, 11, or 12 feet. The requirement is for five feet, with a permitted quantity variance of plus or minus 10 percent, and delivery is required within 167 days after award. The material must meet the stated technical data and quality requirements, including continuous identification markings, MIL-STD-2073-1E packaging, ASTM A700 preservation and marking requirements, and MIL-STD-129 shipment marking. Only suppliers listed on the Qualified Suppliers List for Distributors are eligible for award unless they identify a deviation. A Certificate of Quality Compliance (mill-material certification) is required with each shipment. The quotation must be submitted through the DLA Internet Bid Board System by the stated return date; the solicitation is not a small-business set-aside.
