Description
The New York City Housing Authority is conducting a two-step procurement for three standalone design-build projects: two 5- and 6-story buildings in the Bronx; twenty 6- to 11-story buildings in Brooklyn; and buildings in Queens and the Bronx. The first step is a request for qualifications seeking statements of qualifications from teams interested in participating in a subsequent request for proposals, with up to three teams per project expected to be shortlisted. The contemplated scope includes plumbing and waste infrastructure replacement; kitchen and bathroom repairs; replacement of steam energy systems with electric heat and hot-water systems using heat pumps; electrical upgrades; flood mitigation; elevator modernization at one site; asbestos, lead, and mold abatement; and temporary resident relocation. A single PDF containing all bid components must be uploaded electronically through iSupplier; hard-copy, email, fax, and mail submissions will not be accepted.
