Description
The City of Union Gap is requesting Statements of Qualifications from firms to provide construction engineering, construction observation and inspection, contract administration, and related construction-phase professional services for the Main Street Pedestrian Crossing Improvements project. The project will construct two enhanced pedestrian crossings and includes rapid flashing beacon systems, sidewalks, curb and gutter, ADA curb ramps, pavement markings and signing, temporary traffic control, minor drainage and utility adjustments, surveying, and record drawings. The authorized or requested construction phase is approximately $408,000, with approximately $70,200 budgeted for consultant services and an estimated construction contract value of $334,800. The selected consultant is expected to enter into a negotiated hourly-rate agreement. Selection will be qualifications-based, with price not used as a selection factor. Statements of Qualifications are limited to 20 pages, excluding a one-page cover letter and front and back covers. Evaluation will consider key personnel, relevant federally funded transportation experience, familiarity with WSDOT, FHWA, and Local Agency Guidelines requirements, ADA pedestrian facilities, rapid flashing beacon and electrical work, traffic control, field staffing, and past performance and references.
