Description
The contractor will reconductor a broken span of an existing 69kV transmission line, replacing one phase from dead-end to dead-end with conductor supplied by Keys Energy Services. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, tools, hardware, and other materials; install new dead-end and suspension hardware and dampers; retighten down guys; and provide hourly pricing for authorized miscellaneous repairs. The work includes spans near and over shallow water, with one structure accessible only by water and another on U.S. Navy property requiring access credentials. A construction work plan describing vessels, access, work methods, and any anticipated seafloor contact must be submitted with the proposal. The contractor must follow specified environmental, protected-species, and shallow-water controls. The proposal must include the firm's capabilities and relevant experience, a project schedule, references, hourly labor and equipment rates, and the listed bid forms and statements. A bid bond or certified check of at least 5% of the proposal is required with the proposal; a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the contract amount and insurance are required after award, before contract execution or work. The contract duration runs from execution through April 30, 2027.
