Description
The City of Beaumont is soliciting bids for the rebid of Loeb Well No. 3 rehabilitation and pump replacement. The scope includes well video inspection, chlorination, temporary discharge equipment, well and pump performance testing, supply and installation of a fabricated discharge head, a new six-stage vertical turbine well pump, column assembly, electrical connections, testing, startup, purging, and well-site restoration. The base bid includes alternative pump scenarios for 2,500, 3,000, and 3,500 gallons per minute, with one scenario selected after performance testing. Contingent unit-price work includes acid treatment, mechanical screen cleaning, screen and casing repair, and follow-up video inspection. The engineer's estimate is $1,225,000. The project must be completed within 120 calendar days after commencement. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference on October 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time; attendance is a prerequisite to bidding. Bids are due October 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time through the City's e-bids platform. The bid must include a bid bond or other permitted bid security of at least 5 percent of the largest possible bid amount.
