Description
Fort Worth Independent School District is soliciting competitive sealed proposals to select a general contractor for the Polytechnic Pyramid Middle School consolidation project. The work includes construction of a new middle school and associated site renovations, with the existing William James Middle School remaining operational until the new school is ready for occupancy. The project also includes subsequent demolition and site work associated with the existing school, track, field, bus loop, and paving. The District will procure testing, adjusting, and balancing services; the general contractor will schedule and coordinate them. The stated construction budget is $76 million, including a 5% owner's contingency. Proposals are submitted through the District's electronic bidding system. The itemized breakdown is due separately after the proposal deadline.
