Description
The City of Glendale is soliciting quotations for as-needed miscellaneous glass repair and installation services at various city locations. The scope includes repairing damaged glass; supplying and installing tinted, tempered, acrylic, and architectural glass; weather stripping; specified door hardware; storefront metal window and door frames; window tinting; and same-day emergency response, including board-up service. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, written estimates, cleanup, and related requirements. The contract or purchase-order award, including change orders, may not exceed $50,000. The effective dates are November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027. A valid California C-17 contractor's license, at least five years of glass installation and repair experience, California Department of Industrial Relations registration, prevailing-wage compliance, and contractor self-performance are required; subcontracting is not allowed. Payment and performance bonds are required when the bid exceeds $25,000, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract or purchase-order value. Required insurance includes general liability, auto liability, and workers' compensation coverage, with certificates and specified endorsements required before work begins.
