Description
Los Alamos County’s Department of Public Utilities seeks one or more contractors to provide on-call electric power line construction, installation, maintenance, and replacement services on a task-order basis. The work is primarily make-ready pole changes for a fiber installation project and may support other utility operations and infrastructure needs. The County generally supplies materials; contractor-supplied materials are reimbursed at cost with a proposed administrative processing fee. Work may include line locating, permits, traffic control, excavation, installation, restoration, testing, and as-built documentation. The scope also includes providing labor, equipment, and subcontracted work as needed. The County anticipates a contract term of up to seven years, with a combined potential-term cap of $5 million, excluding gross receipts taxes. Individual task orders exceeding $25,000 require 100% performance and payment bonds. Proposals are evaluated on qualifications and experience, compliance with applicable standards and licensing, service approach, and cost. The solicitation requests a proposal narrative, a completed cost worksheet, specified County forms, applicable contractor licensing and workforce-registration proof, subcontractor information if applicable, and signed addenda.
