Description
The New Mexico Public Education Department's Instructional Material Bureau is accepting publisher and provider applications for core and supplementary instructional materials for grades K-8 English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, World Languages, English Language Development, and Spanish Language Development. Materials may be submitted in print, digital, or mixed formats and must meet applicable content, research-based effectiveness, accessibility, cultural and linguistic relevance, science-of-reading, structured-literacy, and standards-alignment requirements. Core materials must be submitted for review, while supplementary materials may be placed on the state's multiple list without summer-institute review. Applicants must complete the required forms, pay a processing fee for submitted items, provide required digital access information where applicable, and comply with requirements including NIMAS-conformant files for adopted print core materials and Section 508/WCAG accessibility for digital materials. The process includes initial and final Form F citation submissions, review-set and citation-video requirements for core materials, and a six-year agreement for materials placed on the adopted multiple list beginning January 1, 2028.
