Description
The New Mexico Public Education Department's Instructional Material Bureau is accepting publisher/provider applications for the 2027 adoption of core and supplementary instructional materials for grades K-8 English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, World Languages, English Language Development, and Spanish Language Development. Materials may be submitted in print, digital, or both formats and must satisfy the stated content, accessibility, cultural and linguistic relevance, science-of-reading, structured-literacy, pricing, and format requirements. Core materials must also meet research-based effectiveness requirements and may be reviewed at the Summer Review Institute. Applicants must complete the prescribed forms and use the publisher/provider Google Drive for electronic submissions. Key requirements include Form A, Form B, Form D for each core title, Form E, initial and final Form F submissions for core digital materials, citation and overview videos, processing fees, review sets for core titles, and applicable samples or access credentials. The process includes multiple deadlines from September 2, 2026, through January 6, 2027; the processing fee is due October 22, 2026, and the Summer Review Institute is scheduled to begin the week of June 7, 2027. Materials accepted onto the adopted multiple list are subject to a six-year agreement beginning January 1, 2028.
