Description
The City seeks a contractor to renovate Wing Park. Work includes demolition and removal of existing park features and construction of paths, playground areas and surfacing, sport courts, parking improvements, fencing, site furniture, landscaping, and utility improvements. The bid includes a base scope and eight alternates, covering items such as a wetland boardwalk, restroom building, parking lot, baseball plaza, pedestrian bridge, sports lighting, erosion control, and wetland restoration. Some playground equipment and site furniture will be purchased by the City for the contractor to receive and install; other listed equipment and furnishings are to be supplied and installed by the contractor. Bidders must submit a completed pricing proposal and required bidder forms and supporting documentation, including a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid, references, and affirmative-action and responsible-bidder materials. The successful contractor must provide a full-value contract bond, meet the stated insurance requirements, pay prevailing wages, and comply with applicable City ordinances. Bidders must attend at least one of the two mandatory pre-bid meetings.
