Description
The City seeks reconditioning of an existing 34.5/12.47 kV substation transformer. Work includes removal and transportation to the contractor’s facility; inspection and servicing or replacement of components as needed; oil replacement, gasket replacement, surface preparation and repainting; and factory/service-facility testing. The contractor must also provide a transformer automation controller and nitrogen blanket system, update technical documentation, and return, install, and test the transformer at the substation. The City will handle de-energization and removal or reconnection of control wiring, grounding, and bus connections. The response must include the completed cover page, signature page, price proposal page, certification of compliance, service provider response requirements, and price proposal worksheet. The response requirements call for five similar-project references from the past five years, financial-stability evidence, a W-9, credentials/licenses, a list of subcontracted work, proof of insurance, and explanations concerning contract noncompletion, bankruptcy or reorganization, and legal claims. The solicitation requires electronic submission through DemandStar; a bid bond is not required. Performance and payment bonds, insurance documents, and subcontractor/material-supplier listings are required from the successful bidder after award or with contract execution, not with the bid.
