Description
This construction project will create East and West wetland systems that treat water from an existing ditch and drainage tiles. The scope includes selective clearing, approximately 7,500 cubic yards of excavation and earthwork, embankments and grading, approximately 700 linear feet of pipe and tile installation, concrete intake and outlet structures, modified pump basins, three solar-powered pump systems, riprap placement, and approximately 2.5 acres of seeding. The project includes reinforced concrete pipe, PVC pipe, corrugated metal tile outlets, tile connections, outlet structures, diversion berms, auxiliary spillways, and erosion-control work. The estimated construction cost is $225,000 to $325,000. All construction other than seeding must be completed by September 1, 2027; buffer and structure seeding must be completed by December 15, 2027 within the applicable seeding periods. Bids must be submitted through IMPACS and include the required bid forms, notarized affidavit, addenda acknowledgment, and 10% bid security. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds totaling 100% of the contract price, obtain required insurance, and be registered with the Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals & Licensing.
