Description
The contractor must provide labor, personnel, tools, transportation, supervision, excavation, and backfilling to install one 4-inch steam isolation valve and one 2-inch condensate isolation valve in front of Building 58. Work includes extending the existing excavation, exposing and removing concrete vault lids, reinstalling the lids after valve installation, and backfilling with proper compaction. The contractor must protect excavations and identify buried utilities and obstructions before digging, while complying with applicable safety and VA trenching and backfilling requirements. Work is to be performed during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated. The contractor must submit an acceptable work schedule to the contracting officer and contracting officer’s representative before work begins. The stated performance period is 30 days from the notice to proceed.
