The City of LaGrange is soliciting sealed bids for construction of water and gravity sewer relocations along the South Davis Road corridor, from south of Greenville Road to the intersection with Hogansville Road. The work includes approximately 1,700 linear feet of 2-inch high-density polyethylene pipe; 480 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron pipe; 1,880 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe; 2,540 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe; and 3,260 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron pipe. It also includes relocated and connected water meters, fire hydrants, valves, abandonment of existing water mains, and related appurtenances. The gravity sewer scope includes approximately 400 linear feet of relocated 8-inch PVC sewer main, raising manholes to grade, and abandoning existing sanitary sewer manholes and sewer mains. Bidders must hold a Georgia Utility Contractor License. Digital drawings and specifications must be purchased through Barge Design Solutions, Inc.'s online purchasing system for a non-refundable $50 fee; only complete sets will be issued. Each bid must include a 5% bid bond, and the successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the bid amount.
