Millburn Township is considering an ordinance to establish an Economic Development Director position and Department of Economic Development. The director would report to the Township Business Administrator and serve as the executive director of the Township’s Special Improvement District. The department’s responsibilities would include overseeing economic development programs and projects, planning initiatives to support local businesses, analyzing economic and business trends, recommending development policies, and coordinating business retention and attraction efforts. This is a public hearing on proposed legislation, not a procurement solicitation for goods or services.
