Description
The City of Aubrey is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a downtown retention pond and Sherman Street culvert project. The work includes approximately 6.3 acre-feet of pond storage, 163 linear feet of 7-foot-by-3-foot box culvert installed by open cut, 54 linear feet of 48-inch reinforced concrete pipe installed by open cut, two U.S.B.R. Type VI impact basins, and all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, incidentals, and appurtenances. Bidders must submit lump-sum and unit prices in both words and figures on the provided forms. Bid security of at least 5% of the total proposal amount is required as either a cashier's or certified check or a bid bond. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the total contract price, unless the contract price is less than $25,000; bidding documents also reference a required maintenance bond. Plans and specifications are available through CIVCAST or for purchase from Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter, L.L.P.
