Description
Letcher County is seeking an experienced contractor to stabilize streambanks at Spring Branch under the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Emergency Watershed Protection Program. The work includes installing approximately 95 linear feet and 160 linear feet of rail and cribbing walls using railroad rail piling and steel guardrail lagging; stabilizing approximately 88 linear feet with gabions and one-foot Reno mattresses; removing approximately 700 linear feet of earthen and other debris; and performing associated excavation, grouting, rockfill, Class II and Class III riprap, geotextile installation, pollution control, traffic control, seeding and mulching, mobilization, demobilization, and contractor quality control. Bids are unit-price and must be all-inclusive in accordance with the attached NRCS specifications and drawings. The solicitation requires a bid bond or certified check for at least 5% of the contract amount and a 100% performance bond before work begins. The project must be completed no later than December 31, 2026. Required response information includes a technical proposal, subcontractor information, contractor capacity and experience statement, online cost proposal, three references, required certifications and declarations, and the contractor’s drug-free workplace policy.
