Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through its Division of Abandoned Mine Lands, is soliciting construction services for stabilization work in Pike County. The project includes excavation within unstable areas; construction of two 10-foot reinforced concrete walls protecting a residence and adjacent rental home; installation of a rock toe buttress; and closure of three mine portals, including wildlife and non-wildlife closures. The work also includes drainage improvements such as subdrains, culverts, drop boxes, headwalls, swale ditches lined with block-tied mat, a hoe-ram ditch, and ECB ditches. The project limits cover approximately 3.8 acres, with additional offsite waste and fill areas; tree removal and disturbance limits are specified in the solicitation. Bids must be submitted electronically, with the Official Bid Document and any required Bid Bond combined into a single PDF attachment.
