Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky Division of Abandoned Mine Lands is soliciting construction services for an abandoned-mine reclamation project in Johnson County. The work includes draining and closing multiple mine portals with wildlife-appropriate or non-wildlife-accessible closures, capping closures with excavated material, transporting excess material to an onsite waste area, and installing drainage features to convey mine water to natural streams. Additional work includes constructing a Class III ditch and culvert, excavating to rock and installing a subdrain to address a slide threatening a structure, installing a concrete block-tied mat ditch, grading to eliminate impounded water, grubbing and stabilizing areas near Williams Fork, supporting unstable roof areas with aggregate, and replacing the compromised culvert under Williams Branch Road with inlet and outlet headwalls. Bids must be submitted electronically, with the Official Bid Document and any required Bid Bond combined into one PDF attachment.
