Description
The New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction is soliciting a single-prime contractor for lump-sum replacement of two pairs of existing glazed aluminum entrance doors and storefront frames at the NJN Building. The work includes furnishing and installing matching aluminum doors, frames, glazing, finish hardware, exit devices with motorized electric latch retraction, door-position switches, request-to-exit devices, power transfers, and power supplies, along with connecting existing branch-circuit and access-control wiring to the new hardware and controls. Related work includes selective demolition, construction of a new gypsum-board and metal-stud vestibule partition, acoustical ceiling replacement, resilient flooring and wall base, painting, joint sealants, cleanup, and maintaining building security while the facility remains operational. The prime contractor must hold a qualifying New Jersey DPMC classification—General Construction (C008), General Construction/Alterations & Additions (C009), or Doors and Hardware (C011)—and must identify a DPMC-classified Electrical subcontractor (C047), unless self-performing that trade while properly classified. The project has a 120-calendar-day performance period from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bulletin B states that bid bonds are waived, superseding the prior bid-bond information; performance and payment bonds remain required after award under the solicitation documents.
