Description
McHenry County seeks a consultant to review space utilization and facility needs for its Division of Transportation. The work includes analyzing offices, garages, storage and operational areas, and backroom spaces; identifying efficiency improvements and potential expansion needs; and recommending layout changes or automation, including cost-benefit analysis where applicable. The consultant will also develop a five- to ten-year capital plan addressing improvements, replacement of existing facilities or systems, and potential upgrades to water, heating, electrical, lighting, ventilation, and drainage systems. Qualifications should address the proposed technical approach, firm and staff experience, specialized expertise, staff capabilities, workload capacity, and past performance. The submission must include three similar projects from the last five years, three references for similar work performed within the last 12 months, key staff and project resumes, and the required certifications and signature page. The County will evaluate qualifications and may interview or request presentations from shortlisted firms; compensation will be negotiated with the highest-ranked firm.
