Description
The City of Port Arthur is soliciting sealed bids for construction of improvements to the 3rd Avenue Lift Station. The work includes a new duplex wastewater lift station, wet well construction, sanitary sewer manholes and piping, an 18-inch HDPE sanitary sewer connection, a 12-inch ductile iron force main, water service, valves, fittings, bypass pumping, dewatering, aluminum grating, a monorail crane with electric hoist, and Raven 405 coating applied by a certified applicator. The project also includes electrical and controls, a standby 80 kW/100 kVA diesel generator with automatic transfer switch and fuel tank, service equipment, control panels, instrumentation, an autodialer, lighting, fencing, traffic control, pavement repairs, erosion and sedimentation controls, and demolition and site restoration for the existing lift station. The base bid includes 31 bid items and a $50,000 allowance; an optional Vapex odor-control system is listed as Add Alternate No. 1. The base bid duration is 548 calendar days, with 45 additional days for the alternate and 593 days if both the base bid and alternate are awarded.
