Description
The contractor shall furnish and install a 24-foot dual-arm aluminum commercial gate with illuminated arms, a heated mechanical compartment, pedestrian-protection sensor, ground-loop activation, upright locking capability, and a red/green traffic light synchronized with gate operation. The work includes hard-wired controls in the Customs and Border Protection officer booth and connection to a backup-powered electrical panel. The scope also includes underground power and conduit, a reinforced and sealed concrete mounting pad, two surface-mounted bollards, road signs and pavement markings, asphalt patching, site cleanup, testing, project management, submittals, safety planning, and closeout. The contractor must comply with site-security requirements, including initial security adjudication and escorted access for personnel working inside the facility. This is a firm-fixed-price construction contract evaluated using lowest price technically acceptable procedures, with past performance and comparable-project experience required in the technical proposal.
