Description
This invitation to bid covers replacement of a park water-supply well at Antelope Island State Park. The base bid includes drilling a new approximately 500- to 550-foot well with a 14-inch temporary casing, an 8-inch stainless-steel production casing and screen, gravel/filter pack, bentonite and cement sanitary seals, well development, disinfection, flow testing, permitting support, and related wellhead improvements. The site-improvement work includes a concrete well pad and manholes, magnetic flow metering, pressure gauges and transducers, valves, fittings, approximately 6-inch water piping connecting to the existing water system, excavation, grading, erosion control, testing, and disinfection. Alternate 1 adds solar power, an antenna pole, batteries, a remote telemetry unit, electrical connections, programming, and operator training. The construction budget is $370,000, substantial completion is required by March 31, 2027, and a 5 percent bid bond is required. The awarded contractor must also provide performance and payment bonds for the contract price.
