Description

The State of Idaho, through the Division of Public Works, is requesting qualifications from design-build teams for the construction of a championship-quality indoor track and field competition venue at Idaho State University's ICCU Dome in Pocatello, Idaho. The project involves modifying the existing concrete floor to create a six-lane flat track oval, an eight-lane 60-meter sprint area, a five-lane warm-up area, high jump and throwing areas, and all required striping and event markings. The work includes demolition and disposal of an existing 'Magic Carpet' roll-out turf system, preparation and leveling of the concrete slab, relocation of utilities, and installation of a prefabricated, factory-manufactured vulcanized rubber indoor athletic track surface certified by World Athletics. The facility must comply with NCAA and World Athletics requirements and all applicable building codes. The design-build team will be responsible for schematic design, design development, construction documents, approvals, bidding, construction administration, and project closeout, including a one-or-two-year period of correction. The project has a total budget of $1,850,000, with a construction budget of $1,550,000. Field construction is limited to May 10, 2027 through July 27, 2027, and an early procurement package may be considered. The successful team must accept the DPW Design-Build Agreement without modifications and provide payment and performance bonds.
