Description
Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District seeks a supplier for liquid nitrogen at the Morris Forman Water Quality Treatment Center. The contract includes an estimated annual usage of approximately 100,000 gallons, minimum purity of 99.9 percent, truckload deliveries, unloading into existing storage tanks, metered delivery documentation, and pricing inclusive of freight and delivery charges. The awarded supplier must provide remote tank-level monitoring equipment or services, including a remote telemetry unit, and automatically replenish the tank at the required reorder point. Deliveries must be completed within 48 hours of notice, with delivery available Monday through Friday, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The supplier must provide safety data sheets, chemical-handling and emergency-response procedures, labeling and placarding, a written safety plan, and required bid documentation. The contract term is one year from award, with up to four successive 12-month renewals. The bid package also requires a completed Conformance to Performance Specifications Exception Form, even when the bidder has no exceptions, and signed acknowledgments of Addenda Nos. 1 and 2.
