The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is soliciting bids for the installation of centerline rumble strips (CLRS) and edge line rumble strips (ELRS) on specified highways in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. The project aims to reduce the number and severity of cross-over and runoff-the-road collisions by implementing low-cost countermeasures identified in the Cross Over Collisions Monitoring Program. Work locations include Route 166 in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties, Route 33 in San Luis Obispo County, and Routes 154 and 246 in Santa Barbara County.
