Description
The Town of Groton is soliciting bids from a qualified fencing contractor to remove and dispose of existing backstop and fencing components and furnish and install new commercial-grade galvanized chain-link systems at the Groton Community Center baseball and T-ball fields. The work includes labor, materials, equipment, excavation, concrete footings, hardware, delivery, mobilization, site cleanup, and incidental work required for a complete installation. The T-ball field requires approximately 60 linear feet of 12-foot-high backstop with galvanized #9-gauge, 2-inch-mesh fabric. The baseball field requires approximately 60 linear feet of 15-foot-high backstop with a 5-foot overhead canopy, plus approximately 60 linear feet of 8-foot-high protective side and bench-area fencing. Bids must provide separate lump-sum prices for the T-ball backstop, the baseball backstop with canopy and side fencing, and the total base bid, along with lead time, installation duration, exclusions or deviations, product information, warranty information, and required permit information. References are required, and proposed materials must be new, commercial grade, galvanized, and suitable for exterior athletic-field use. Addendum 1 is included in the solicitation package.
