Description
The City of Milpitas is seeking multiple contractors to prepare and deliver approximately 21,472 meals annually for the City and County of Santa Clara Senior Nutrition Program at the Barbara Lee Senior Center. Vendors must furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, materials, facilities, and related services. Meals should include varied standard and culturally diverse options, comply with applicable senior nutrition, dietary, food safety, and sanitation requirements, and accommodate meal types such as hot, cold, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, low-sugar, Korean, Indian, Mexican/Latin, and Vietnamese meals. The City may adjust quantities, days, times, and meal types with reasonable notice without adjusting per-meal costs. The initial contract term is expected to begin April 1, 2027, continue for three years, and include one additional three-year option. Proposers must submit per-meal pricing for proposed meal types, firm for the initial term with annual increases capped at 3%. Required qualifications and proposal materials include current health, food-facility inspection, fire, operating-license, and commercial-kitchen authorization documentation where applicable; references; company experience; an implementation plan; assigned personnel; menus; certifications; and completed cost and compliance forms.
