The State of Alaska Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Facilities Management Office, is seeking competitive quotes for performance-based snow removal and ice control services at the Kenai Alaska National Guard facilities. The contractor must provide all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and supplies for snow plowing, sanding, snow removal, sidewalk cleaning, and end-of-season sand sweeping. Lawn care services are also referenced in the SOW, although the RFQ scope and quote schedule primarily describe snow and ice control. Services will be ordered as needed, including during weekends and National Guard drill periods. Snow plowing is generally expected within approximately four hours of a snow event or callout and completed within twelve hours; sanding is required within four hours of callout. The quote schedule includes parking-lot and fenced-area plowing/snow removal, sanding with F-chip sand, and paved-surface sand sweeping. The contractor must use at least a three-quarter-ton vehicle for plowing and, if using a bucket loader, a minimum three-yard bucket. The contract is for a two-year firm term with three additional one-year renewal options at the State's discretion.
