Description
Southwest Independent School District is seeking qualified persons or companies to provide special education teaching services on an as-needed, non-exclusive basis. Multiple vendors may be awarded and ranked as primary and secondary providers to address unfilled vacancies, employee leaves, additional service needs, or situations in which other contracts cannot provide the required personnel. Services must be performed face-to-face and include instruction, curriculum and lesson development, individualized education program development through the ARD Committee process, ARD meetings, student assessments, behavior management and crisis intervention, personal or medical care when required by an IEP, recordkeeping, parent and staff communication, and staff development. Assigned personnel must hold a bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certification with required special education endorsements. Vendors must conduct required criminal-history background checks for workers with direct student contact. Responses must address firm qualifications, service capacity, pricing, references, resumes, transcripts, continuing-education certificates, teaching certificates, insurance, litigation or investigation history, compliance certifications, and other required electronic attributes and attachments. The District may award multiple vendors and does not guarantee any minimum or maximum quantity of services.
