Description
The City of Kalispell seeks a contractor to provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, disposal, and incidentals to remove and dispose of the existing cedar roofing and install a complete, commercially manufactured synthetic cedar shake roofing system. Work includes inspecting the roof sheathing and replacing deteriorated sections when authorized; installing compatible underlayment, ice-and-water barrier, synthetic shakes, starter, ridge, hip, valley, edge and accessory components, flashing, drip edges, and ventilation; protecting the site; removing debris; and restoring property damaged by the work. Natural cedar shakes or shingles are not acceptable substitutes. Bids must include bid security equal to 10% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide security for the full contract amount for performance and payment, comply with Montana prevailing-wage requirements, and provide evidence of required insurance naming the City as an additional insured. The contractor and any subcontractors must be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry at bid submission.
