Description
The project involves reconstructing approximately 2.5 miles of roadway, including excavation, subgrade stabilization, roadway aggregate, and asphalt concrete pavement. Work also includes rock buttresses, riprap revetments, horizontal drains, drainage improvements, culverts, erosion and sediment controls, traffic control, roadway markings, and related improvements. Utility infrastructure relocation is identified as Option A, separate from the base schedule. The preliminary materials identify a project length of 2.55 miles and an estimated price range of $20 million to $30 million. The work is planned for award under a base schedule and an option; the stated tentative completion periods for both are summer 2029. Aggregate and borrow materials must be certified free of noxious weeds and non-native invasive species through an accepted certification process, and sources within the park boundaries are prohibited. This is a presolicitation notice; the invitation for bids and final specifications are not yet provided.
