Description
The St. Clair County Road Commission is soliciting sealed proposals for the Richmond Rest Area Lagoon Removal project located along I-94 between Meinser Road and Springborn Road in Casco Township, St. Clair County, Michigan. The work includes approximately 1 acre of clearing, 4,030 cubic yards of excavation, 1,280 cubic yards of non-hazardous material handling and disposal, 8,050 cubic yards of embankment, 11,700 square yards of restoration, and miscellaneous items such as tree removal, fence removal, culvert end sections, sewer installation, drainage structures, stop log structures, riprap, slope restoration, and wetland seeding. The project also involves wetland mitigation, earthwork, and tree removal. The engineer's estimate is $515,000. A pre-bid meeting will be held via Zoom on June 25, 2026 at 11:30 AM EDT. The project has multiple completion dates: Stage 1 by September 25, 2026, Stage 2 by March 15, 2027, tree removal and clearing by April 14, 2027, and final completion by June 25, 2027.
