Description
The County of Dutchess is seeking a qualified vendor to provide after-hours telephone answering and messaging services for its Department of Health divisions, including Environmental Health Services, the Medical Examiner's Office, and Public Health and Disease Prevention. The contract will be for one year with the option to extend for four additional one-year terms. The vendor will be responsible for answering calls, collecting caller information, taking messages, following approved scripts, and contacting designated County staff when needed. Calls are expected to include protected health information, and the vendor must be HIPAA certified and compliant. Services will be provided during weekday evenings (5:00 PM to 9:00 AM), weekends (Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 9:00 AM), and County-observed holidays. The vendor must answer calls within 3 rings and ensure all calls are resolved. They will also be required to provide a secure online platform for the County to review call details and collect data, and to deliver emergency messages within 30 minutes.
