Description
Wharton County Junior College (WCJC) is soliciting proposals for a comprehensive migration from its existing on-premises phone system to a cloud-based telecommunications solution. This project encompasses all WCJC campus locations and includes system design, implementation, hardware, software, training, and ongoing support and maintenance services. The college aims to improve reliability, scalability, support remote work, enhance safety communications, and optimize operational costs by modernizing its telecommunications infrastructure. The scope of work includes analysis of the current system, proposal of a cloud-based solution, and implementation of features such as classroom emergency calling, an auto-attendant system, direct 911 dialing compliant with Ray Baum's Act and Kari's Law, and cost-saving opportunities for DID blocks. The chosen vendor will be responsible for providing business telephone system hardware, software, voicemail services, installation, configuration, training, maintenance, and system upgrades. Solutions must be TX-RAMP certified, and the vendor must be able to meet specific insurance requirements including Technology Errors & Omissions/Cyber Liability, Commercial General Liability, and Workers' Compensation.
